Tales of the Traveling Hendrix

      
     Welcome to the Tales of the Traveling Hendrix!  A few years ago, one of my best friends gave me a mini-Jimi Hendrix figure, which I've kept ever since because of the memories he instills.  (The fact it's a mini-Hendrix is beside the point.)

           And then I had the crazy idea of traveling with him in my backpack.    

        I mean, why not?  I do a lot of hiking, and plan on working for the National Park Service anyway, so what better way to share what I see of America with an American music icon?  It can't be that much weirder than people traveling with little stuffed animals…which there is no shame in.  I'm traveling with a mini-Hendrix, so who am I to judge?

            And so the travels have begun.  I hope you'll enjoy seeing the United States--and maybe even beyond--and all the little quirks that come along with travel, through my eyes, and maybe even through those of the Traveling Hendrix.
